THE OHC saddle promise

Buying a saddle is always a big investment but buying a saddle for a young rider or young horse.  As the rider or horse grows so often do they grow out of their saddle.

The OHC Saddle Promise offers a more financially beneficial route to keeping your young rider balanced in the saddle, and your young horse comfortable in a well fitted saddle as they develop and grow.

JUNIOR PROMISE

Junior Promise – for riders up to the end of their 16th year 

• Purchase a new bespoke Childéric or Delgrange saddle for your junior rider’s pony. 
• When the rider outgrows the saddle, we will offer a part exchange for a new saddle at 35% of the current new saddle price, and you will return the original saddle to us at nil value. 
• The replacement saddle will be a basic model and will not include any saddle extras unless otherwise agreed. If extras were included in the original saddle, they may be removed for resale.  
• Customers may choose to repurchase the original saddle at the current list price. 
• This exchange option can be used multiple times, but only for the rider’s growth—not for a refit for the pony or a change of rider: this offer is rider specific. 
• Refits for the pony will be charged at the standard list price. 
• The Promise does not include repairs for general wear and tear. However, if your saddle is found to be faulty or does not meet expected quality standards, you may have rights to repairs or replacements under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. 

Young HORSE PROMISE

Young Horse Promise – for horses/ponies up to the end of their 6th year 

• Purchase a new bespoke Childéric or Delgrange saddle for your young horse. 
• This Promise includes up to 3 saddle checks per year by one of our specialists for your horse until they turn 7. Additional checks beyond this may be available at standard service rates. 
• You will receive a Mattes correction pad, which we will use for minor rebalancing as your horse develops. 
• If a refit of the panels is required, alterations will be carried out in our workshop at no charge.  When possible we will lend a saddle while you wait for this to be done.
• The Promise does not include repairs for general wear and tear. However, if your saddle is found to be faulty or does not meet expected quality standards, you may have rights to repairs or replacements under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. 
• One saddle swap-out is allowed during this period—you may part exchange the original saddle for a new saddle at 35% of the current new saddle price, and you will return the original saddle to us at nil value. 
• Customers may choose to repurchase the original saddle at the current list price. 

 
Example Pricing 
Original Saddle Price: £5000 
Swap-out New Saddle Price: £5200 
You Pay: £1820 + return original saddle at £NIL 
Any bespoke extras will be charged separately.  

Consumer information

• These terms apply to purchases made in the UK and comply with UK consumer protection laws. 
• If you have any concerns regarding your saddle’s condition or fit, please contact us for assistance. 
• Your statutory rights, including protections under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, remain unaffected by this promise. 

Refunds & Cancellations: Customers may cancel their order within 14 days of confirming the order with the deposit for a full refund. Once a bespoke saddle has been made or delivered, refunds are not available unless the product is faulty.

Continued participation in the Junior and Young Horse Promise after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
