Childeric saddle rental
Want to ride in the very best Childeric has to offer but can't afford the initial outlay? We're pleased to introduce our new Saddle Hire Scheme, that enables customers to hire a pre-loved or ex-demo Childeric Saddle.
We have a wide selection of preloved saddles available – Dressage and Jump – from 15.5” to 18.5”
If you want the best fitting saddle for your horse but don’t want to invest in a purchase yet this is the way to do it.
Initial deposit is calculated at 10% of the saddle's value. With ongoing monthly rental fees set at 33% of the deposit. That means you could get a beautiful and perfectly fitting Childeric saddle for as little at £95 per month!
A minimum term of 3-months is applied, with maximum term of 18-months.

HOw do i know what i need?
Arrange for an assessment appointment where we can ascertain your requirement and match you with an appropriate saddle for rider and horse.
How much is the assessment?
£90
What if you don't have a saddle that fits me?
If we don’t have a saddle that fits you, the rider, in our current stock, we would order one that would. This would mean we supply you with a new saddle for rental (this would be the most expensive option but we have a good stock so shouldn’t be necessary).
what if the saddle fits me but not the horse?
There are two options here, we can supply a correction pad (£113) and set it up for you or you could pay to have the panels refitted (price depends on what needs doing). The refit is particularly good for horses that have a history of being difficult to fit or are extremely sensitive.
What are the costs based on?
The cost is based on the market value of the saddle you choose.
how long would the agreement be for?
Minimum of 3-months
can i buy the saddle during or after the agreed period?
Yes – you can buy at the market price less the DEPOSIT paid
is there a deposit to pay?
Yes, 10% of the market price. This is non refundable.
is there a contract to sign?
Yes, we will share the contract with you at the point of booking the assessment or during your appointment
How do i pay the monthly rental
By direct debit
what if i miss a payment
You will be charged £15 for a direct debit being declined.
Do i have to pay for saddle checks and who should do them?
OHC will do the saddle checks. A complimentary check will be carried out after 3 months, the rest are chargeable at £90.

Annual Cost £1280
So if you hire this saddle for 12 months it will cost you £1844 for the first year, £1404 (plus checks) for the second.

If I rent a saddle for my child and they grow can I swap the saddle?
Yes – this would involve a further assessment visit but we wouldn’t ask for a second deposit.
If I rent a saddle and my horse changes its requirements can I swap the saddle?
Yes – this would involve a further assessment visit – we could swap out the saddle if we had one that would work or if the horse has changed shape considerably you could pay for a panel alteration.
